Liberty Science Center has partnered with the Greater Newark Conservancy and the Newark Public Schools to offer a Community Science Workshop for Newark schoolchildren.
Located in Newark's Central Ward at Montgomery Academy (Room 116), the Community Science Workshop will serve as an after school and summer drop-in center where students can work on self-paced science projects guided by Liberty Science Center staff.
The Community Science Workshop will feature native New Jersey plants and wildlife, and will allow students to participate as apprentice scientists and as mentors to other children in the community.
